The people of North Range Behavioral Health have dedicated their lives to helping others. They have been a part of Weld County for many years, always seeking innovative and effective ways to prevent and treat behavioral health challenges for children, youth, adults and families. Reporting to the Director of Quality Improvement, this position supports population health and quality improvement initiatives at NHP including executing projects based on the annual Population Health and Quality Improvement Strategic Plans. Program initiatives will primarily focus on population health projects unique to the needs of Colorado’s Region 2 Medicaid and outlined in the population health strategy. Program initiatives center on diabetes management, pregnancy, substance use disorders, behavioral health, and asthma. This position is a central component in conducting the daily operations to meet organizational strategies geared toward improving the health of region 2 Medicaid members.
The Population Health Program Coordinator will lead the daily activities of the Population Health Strategy. Coordinate and execute quality/population health initiatives and projects based on organizational strategies. Duties include program and project management of initiatives, data collection and analysis for both impacts and corporate and state-level reporting. Develop program and/or analytical reports as required by the State of Colorado; ensuring timeliness and the content needs of deliverables are met. Participate in the QI/Pop Health Committee, state, and regional Performance Improvement Advisory Committee (PIAC) and Quality Management Committee meetings providing project updates or presentations as necessary. Facilitate or participate in focus groups and deliver presentations to community stakeholders and state agency representatives. Develop community-based surveys for feedback to better understand performance and impacts, and to help shape strategy. Analyze data, identify gaps in data and new data sources, and partner with external stakeholders to ensure projects are carried out and completed on time. May conduct regional research on community capacity, available resources, and needs assessments. Leverage such resources to help develop and execute targeted interventions aimed at improving health outcomes. Support quality improvement projects such as clinic-based performance improvement (PDSA/A3) projects as needed to impact Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Behavioral Health Incentive Plan (BHIP) measures, Performance Pool measures, and Potentially Avoidable Complication (PAC) projects. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Director of Operations will be responsible for the oversight of administrative and financial systems including finance, accounting, information technology, human resources, and physical infrastructure. The Director of Operations will ensure that TGH’s financial, personnel, and organizational systems accurately and efficiently support its day-to-day needs and its long-term growth and evaluate/analyze situations using relevant data gathered to make decisions, identify gaps and recommend changes. Reporting to the Co-Chief Executive Officers (CEOs), the Chief Program Officer (CPO) is responsible for all program planning, organizing, operating, and staffing. The CPO will supervise and support a talented team and will be responsible for the development and implementation of effective program growth strategies that will advance TGH’s mission. The Chief Program Officer will serve on the TGH Leadership Team and provide expert input and guidance into key decisions affecting the development of programmatic strategy and strategic allocation of resources. The Coordinator of Program Operations will assume responsibility for supporting the operations of TGH courses. This position will be supervised by the Assistant Manager of Program Operations. Combine your expertise in advocacy, organizing volunteer teams, and relationship building with excellent written and oral communication skills to convey TGH’s values to leaders from the public and private sectors. The External Affairs Manager will excel at listening and creatively responding to both senior leaders and corporate managers with inquiries for TGH about policy, legislation, or volunteer opportunities. The position will report to the Chief of External Affairs and support the Director of Development (TBH). This position will allow candidates to grow professionally by supporting multiple TGH external efforts, from coordinating a new, rapidly growing volunteer program to building relationships with partners in and out of government and tracking key public initiatives for TGH Advocacy. At Tech Goes Home, External Affairs encompasses fundraising, advocacy, and communications with external partners and supporters.

The University of Oklahoma is engaged in a projected multi-year cluster hire to expand expertise in cancer research on the Norman campus to support of the mission of the University’s Stephenson Cancer Center (which has faculty at both our Norman campus and at the nearby Oklahoma City Health Sciences Center). Complementing recent growth at the Health Sciences Center, this year we will be adding new faculty lines in Anthropology, Economics, and Social Work on the Norman campus. These individuals will join the Cancer Prevention and Control Program at Stephenson Cancer Center and will be expected to work to develop funded research to improve cancer outcomes. The Stephenson Cancer Center provides a rich environment in which to develop a research career, including seed funding, shared resources, and established excellence in community-based cancer prevention and control research.
The appointment in Anthropology will be made at the rank of Assistant Professor, to begin on August 16, 2022. The ideal candidate will be experienced in the use of ethnography to investigate the social determinants of health and/or the experience of cancer care. They are particularly interested in scholars who focus on the ways racial and/or class inequalities intersect with the risk for and experience of cancer. The successful candidate will also be expected to demonstrate a strong foundation in anthropological theory and a record of scholarly excellence. Geographic area is open. Teaching load is 2/2, but they expect the faculty member to buy out of some teaching through grant support. The department’s faculty represents the four fields of the discipline and this new hire will ideally help to integrate teaching and research across the sub-disciplines, while contributing to existing strengths in medical anthropology, Native American and Indigenous Studies (NAIS), and collaborative community-based research. They strongly encourage women and scholars from historically underrepresented groups to apply.

The Department of Anthropology invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in applied cultural anthropology for Fall 2022. The UNT Department of Anthropology is distinguished as part of a unique group of departments offering a Masters in applied anthropology, as well as an undergraduate BA. They emphasize the use of anthropology to solve problems and improve people’s lives in the following areas of focus: environmental and ecological anthropology, medical anthropology and public health, anthropology of education, business/ technology/design, migration and borders, urban anthropology. We are looking for research and teaching expertise in one or more of these focus areas, with preference given to environmental anthropology and/or environmental/racial/social justice. Teach undergraduate and graduate anthropology courses, particularly in one of our focus areas. Other courses may be methodological, theoretical, or of a geographic area. Our department has a strong tradition of online teaching, and the successful candidate must be willing to teach some distance education courses (in addition to face-to-face classes), develop applied field and/or class projects that educate students in anthropological praxis, mentor undergraduate and graduate students, maintain an active research agenda commensurate with UNT’s ambitions and obligations as a Carnegie-ranked Tier One public research university that is also both a Hispanic and Minority Serving institution, and contribute to the service of the department, college, and university.
